Patchouli EO
🤓Patchouli comes from the Hindustan word "pacholi" meaning "to scent". Indian shawls and fabrics were scented with patchouli in the 19th century.
Native to Indonesia, patchouli is a bushy herb in the mint family that typically grows to a height of 2–3 feet and produces small white or pink flowers.
Its leaves were used traditionally as a flavoring or herbal tea.
Patchouli essential oil contains the naturally occurring constituent patchoulol, which contributes to its earthy aroma.
A common base note in perfumes, Patchouli creates a calming and grounding environment when diffused or inhaled and can also be applied topically to moisturize the skin.
It may improve the appearance of chapped skin or dry skin; and is an ideal addition to your favorite skin care products. This makes it a perfect choice for summer!
Patchouli Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves and flowers of the plant and is native to Asia.
Most of us remember patchouli as the incense and aroma of the ‘60’s & ‘70’s #hippymama
It is fantastic oil to reduce stress and nervous tension and to help you sleep better when an occassion may find you restless.
